Sealed tenders are invited by General Manager (Min.), Orissa Mining Corporation Ltd., Bhubaneswar for the following work to be executed during 2005-06.

1. General Description/Scope of work
The work of Transportation of iron ore (CLO/fines) from OHP,Daitari( Baliparbat) to Daitari Rly. Siding including machine loading and unloading charges and loading of railway wagon at Daitari Railway Siding by manual and mechanical means.

Only such tenderers fulfilling the following eligibility criteria should participate in the tender.

2. Eligibility Criteria:
(i) The agency must have successfully executed transport work(s) and wagon loading of ore/minerals for a minimum amount of 30% in case of a single work or 50% in case of two works of the value of work shown in column No.6 of the Tender Notice in any one financial year during the last three years including the works of 2004-05 as on date of submission of tender current year..
(ii) The agency should have minimum annual turn over equivalent to an amount as shown in Column No.6 in one financial year during the last three years and including the turn over of 2004-05.
(iii) The agency should have own/arrange to adequate fleet of trucks and loading machinery at his command to execute the work in stipulated time.
(iv) The agency should have own valid EPF Code Number.

3. Period of work:
The period of work shall be 36(thirty-six) months and likely to be extended for another 24(twenty-four) months at the sole discretion of OMC. However, the work will be reviewed at the end of every 12 months and extended for further period of 12 months each, if the performance is found satisfactory.

4. The tender will be on two bids system i.e. Technical Bid & Price Bid.

5. The tender documents for the above work can be obtained from General Manager (M), OMC Ltd., Bhubaneswar from 05/03/2005 to 11/03/2005 during office hours on payment of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees Five thousand only) by cash or Demand Draft (non-refundable) in favour of Orissa Mining Corporation Limited payable at any Nationalised Bank at Bhubaneswar.

6. The tender documents for the above work duly filled in alongwith the specified EMD in the shape of Demand Draft/Bankers cheque/Pay Order/ in favour of Orissa Mining Corporation Limited, Bhubaneswar payable at any Nationalised Bank at Bhubaneswar should be submitted by the tenderer on or before 14/03/2005 at 3.00 PM and the technical bid will be opened on the same day at 4.00 P.M. in presence of the tenderers or his/her authorized representative. The opening of the price bid of the qualified bidders will be intimated later. The tender without the required EMD or part EMD shall be rejected. The intending tenderers are required to visit the site before quoting the rate.

OMC Ltd. reserves the right to accept or reject the full or part of any tender without assigning any reason whatsoever.
